ZAMOSC
The Mobile School
Zamosc is a mobile school, which was started by Zobeda and Amin, who are based in Melbourne in Australia. ZAMOSC is used to teach English and Computing and provide advice to and organise financial assistance for underprivileged youths in Bangladesh to help them cross the English Divide, the Digital Divide and the Social Divide that exist in Bangladesh today.

Amin Rahman
Amin, formerly an engineer, then an ICT consultant and then a management consultant, now works as a freelance Applied Linguist . His current interests are to help underprivileged youths to cross the three very prominent Divides that exist in Bangladesh today using his knowledge and skills in English and computing.
He is also interested in improving English pronunciations of both teachers and students of Native Bengali Speakers (NBS). He is developing a Bangla Phonetic Alphabet (BPA) and hopes to use it to transcribe English sounds and words to produce an English Phonetic Dictionary, which students and teachers in Bangladesh will be able to use to speak with a consistent English pronunciation that should be easy to understand by Native English Speakers and Non-Native English speakers.

Zobeda Rahman
Zobeda feels very strongly about the plight of the poor in Bangladesh seeing how they struggle in life, going without meals for days, and want to educate their children so that they can lead a better life in future. She is very passionate about wanting to help improve their social status, and advises and encourages these children, particularly females, to continue studying and not agree to get married at an early age and without their consent. She also helps them with financial assistance, which is made possible through donations she receives for her work from her many friends and well wishers both in Australia and Bangladesh.
